The Top 3 Truck Toolbox Questions Answered

If you’re like most workers, you could probably write a love song for your truck. No other vehicle offers the ability to haul cargo and tow equipment like a pickup truck. You can take your work truck to the next level by outfitting it with a toolbox to carry your equipment. The right toolbox keeps your tools neatly arranged, safe, and always ready to go.

Why Should You Get a Truck Toolbox?

These versatile containers provide many benefits for truck owners. Here are just a few reasons why you might consider getting a truck toolbox.

    Organization

Truck boxes have the space to carry a lot of tools, with large ones acting like a portable shed. Tools in a box can’t tumble out of your truck bed or slide under your seat. Many toolboxes have trays to keep smaller parts organized and allow you to put your power tool carrying cases inside.

    Portability

A truck toolbox gives you the ability to jump in your ride and take your tools anywhere. While you generally can’t easily unbolt the box and carry it around (or thieves certainly would,) you also can’t forget your tools at home; wherever your

Recently returned from a year-long tour of duty in the Middle East, U.S. Army Cpl. James Wesley Trent was on leave with his family in Florida when he found his brand new pickup truck stolen, stripped and burned to the ground. Where just a few days before, he was proudly rolling out in the gold-hued Ford F-250 Super Duty, he was now looking at a charred wreck. Yes, there were worse things that could happen as his deployments overseas had proven. However, this fresh injury brought home the unfairness of it all. Eventually, insurance would replace the destroyed truck, but it couldn’t repair his loss of faith in his fellow man. That’s when one member of of the off-road community Phil Gottes with Tufftruckparts.com stepped in to help.

  9. CHOOSING THE CORRECT TRUCK TIRES

    CHOOSING THE CORRECT TRUCK TIRES

Tires are a lot more important than most people think. One of the most important items affecting your ride is the contact with the ground. A good truck or Jeep tire can be what allows you to take a new trail, a bad tire can be what ruins a trip in a heartbeat. There are a lot of choices for tires out there, however. It can be a little intimidating choosing the right one, but the good news is that there a lot of choices, so you can always find a good match for your needs if you know how to look.

    UNDERSTANDING TIRE MARKINGS

Every tire has some markings along its sidewall. These denote the size, load range, and type of tire you’re looking at. For example, you might see (whatever tire size you use in your photo) or something similar. These sizes should correlate to your wheels and a tire technician should be able to tell you how big a tire you can fit in your wheel wells without any chassis rubbing.

    TIRE TYPES AND TREADS

Once you have the sizing and type of tire you need, the next decision to make involves what you plan on doing with that tire. There are 3 main types of treads, and we’ll go over each.

    ALL-SEASON

All-Season tires are made for mostly on-road performance to handle most weather conditions on the pavement. They are very good for

  10. 2019 FORD F-150 RAPTOR - UNLEASH THE BEAST

The Ford F-Series truck line has been a mainstay of the auto industry since the company celebrated its golden anniversary in 1953 by introducing the revamped F-100. These four-wheeled workhorses never looked back and the F-150 has been a staple of the market. Since 1977, the Ford F-Series has been the best-selling line of trucks in the country. While the Raptor has remained mostly the same since Ford introduced this second-generation version, the F-150's radical twin receives an upgraded suspension for 2019. The new Fox Racing adaptive dampers are standard, and they automatically adjust in real time as driving conditions change. The Raptor also gains a low-speed cruise control called Trail Control, which makes climbing rocky terrain and other off-road obstacles easier for the driver. The rest of the updates include new paint colors, a new wheel design, and optional Recaro front seats for added support and style.

For 2019, Ford is turning the truck industry on its ear again. The 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor is one of the most highly anticipated releases of the new vehicle season. Making the most of its advanced twin turbo technology, the Raptor ri

  11. THE NEW 2019 JEEP WRANGLER JL

THE NEW 2019 JEEP WRANGLER JL

There is some excitement surrounding the news that the 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL will be sporting a lot of new features. In fact, it is the first major redesign for the model since 2007. There is also some trepidation from long-time fans that are concerned that Jeep will refine the Wrangler a bit too much and it will lose its much revered rugged look.

    EXTERIOR FEATURES

Old school halogen headlights finally get upgraded to LEDs. This will come standard on the Rubicon and Sahara. They will be offered as options on the Sport and Sport S.

The exterior body style will remain largely the same with just a few minor tweaks with a nod to aerodynamics. The Wrangler is an instantly identifiable vehicle and designers acknowledge that to mess too much with the body style would not go over very well with Wrangler fans. One of the key differences between the two- and four-door Wrangler models is that the two-door seats four, but the four-door — also known as the Wrangler Unlimited — seats five. At 96.8 inches, the two-door Wrangler’s wheelbase is 21.6 inches shorter than the Unlimited’s. The breakover angle on the two-door is about 5 degrees better than the Unlimited, but the four-door’s departure angle is slightly superior at 36.1 degrees versus the two-door’s 35.9 degrees

Deciding Which Truck or Jeep Custom Bumper is Right for You?

It is important for your truck or jeep to have a bumper that looks good when you are in town. However, if you like off-roading you need to balance the look of your ride with the dependability and durability as well. When considering which custom truck bumper or custom Jeep bumper to add to your vehicle there are a lot of things to consider. Let’s take a look at some of the factors that go into a decision about your bumper.

The first thing to consider are the materials. There are essentially 3 types of bumpers available: Steel, aluminum, and factory. Since steel bumpers are the gold standard, we will use them in a series of comparisons to give you a better idea of what you can expect from the various bumpers.

      • Steel vs Factory – Factory Bumpers usually consist of a bare minimum of steel and aluminum which serves as a bracing under a bumper cover. This cover is usually made of ABS plastic. This flimsy construction does not inspire confidence when you are taking your truck or jeep into the wilds of off-roading adventure. Additionally, a factory bumper is extremely incompatible with the various accessories that associated with off-roading. Adding winches or lights is nearly impossible with most of these bumper models.

  15. GET YOUR MOTOR RUNNING! 5 AWESOME TIPS FOR DIESEL TRUCK DRAG RACING 2018

Get Your Motor Running! 5 Awesome Tips for Diesel Truck Drag Racing 2018

With the summer sun high in the sky and the dangerous road conditions of a harsh winter in the past, what better way is there to test out those diesel performance parts and modifications than to engage in drag racing If you have the need for speed and are craving to see just how fast your truck can go, there is no better hobby. But before you jump right into line, you need a little insight on what to expect. We've got you covered with the five awesome tips for diesel truck drag racing

    Stay in four-wheel drive.

Traction is everything and two-wheel drive just isn't going to cut it. With a diesel truck's capability to build a great deal of boost and store an impressive amount of torque, opting against four-wheel drive is signing you up for a major burnout rather than finding traction and going. So if you've got it, lock it.

    Know your boost level.

Knowing the amount of boost will help you reach your truck's potential elapse time rather than being a longer as too much boost could make your front end hop or your tires spin where as too low of a boost will prolong your take-off. Generally, single turbo trucks only need a

  16. A Quick Guide To Truck Bed Sizes And Styles

A Quick Guide to Truck Bed Sizes and Styles

With so many truck bed sizes and styles available, it’s easy to get confused when browsing through all your options. Since each vehicle manufacturer has their own proprietary naming system for their truck bed styles, that can make it more difficult to determine which products are suited to fit your own truck. That’s why we’ve created this quick guide, breaking down the four common bed styles and including some common terminology you might encounter while you’re shopping.

Short Beds Offer Great Hauling Capacity

The most popular pickup trucks on the market usually feature the short bed style. Also called a short box, you’ll typically find them in either compact or full-size editions. Compacts are generally around six feet in length, and full-size varieties measure around six and a half feet long. They offer plenty of hauling and loading room for most drivers, balanced with a smaller size for better driving agility and easier parking.

Long Beds: A Larger Container for More Cargo

Normally, long truck beds exceed the size of short beds by a couple of feet. You’ll find them mostly on commercial work trucks or farm truck such as the Ford Super Duty or the

Ford trucks tend to inspire exuberant loyalty in their fans and grudging respect in their competitors. Ford fans already have the answer to, “what is the best truck in 2018?” The F-150 is Ford’s full-sized powerhouse that’s as tough and reliable as an old cowhand. 23. UNDERSTANDING TRUCK CLASSIFICATION SIZES

    understanding truck classification sizes

Pickup trucks are the most versatile vehicles on the planet. Whether they’re transporting people, hauling cargo, or towing monstrous payloads, trucks do what other vehicles can’t. Different trucks were built with different jobs in mind. Some have the power for construction work while others help keep your family safe on the road. When you’re looking to outfit your current truck or buy a new one, it is important to know the strengths and weaknesses of each and every class of truck on the market.

    Compact Trucks

The most popular truck in the world, compacts have a lot to recommend them. While they typically lack the ability to carry many thousands of pounds, their beds can still carry larger and heavier loads than a car. Their L4, L5, L6, or V6 engines are much more fuel-efficient than full-size or even mid-size trucks. Because of this, it is not unusual for owners to use them as an everyday vehicle or even as a commuter.

    Popular Compact Pickups:

    • Chevy S10
    • GMC Sonoma
    • Mazda B Series
    • Ford Ranger

    Mid-Size Trucks

Prior to the introduction of the mid-size truck in the late 1980s, there was a huge hole in the pickup market. Compact trucks lack the ability to carry much in the way of cargo or passengers but full-size trucks burn a lot of fuel when driven
