Truck and jeep enthusiasts have long argued over which after-market suspension system is the best when selecting cool truck accessories. That debate isn't likely to die soon, but knowing a few things about your options can help you decide which system is best for you. Nearly all customized trucks and jeeps start with an independent front suspension (IFS) system that includes some variant of a control-arm-over-spring combination. Trucks are made to handle heavy loads with ease, but area also built to allow for oversized tires that enable those big loads. That leaves trucks with a high center of gravity and an excessive amount of body sway. Lets check out some different kinds of truck and jeep suspensions below.

Complete Suspension truck Lift Kits will lift your vehicle to give you more clearance for both larger tires and a much better off-road experience. These great names like Skyjacker & Fabtech truck suspension lift kits systems that have a primary focus of increasing tire clearance and improved cosmetics, and they are the ultimate systems designed for serious off-roading. We understand all of these systems and with 30 years experience under our belt we will help you choose the very best solution for your vehicle. If it's 3"" suspension lift kit, 6"" suspension lift kit or 8"" lift kit we got you covered with plenty of lift kits for trucks and Jeeps.

Leveling kits are an inexpensive way to transform the look of your vehicle. If you view your vehicle on level ground you will notice that the back of it sits anywhere from 1.5-3” higher than the front. A leveling kit is designed to raise the front of the vehicle up to the same height as the rear, so now it sits level front to back. The front end of the vehicle is where much of the tire clearance problems exist, so many times you can add larger tires that may be 2-4” taller than your stock tires. The ride quality does not change at all on most vehicles, which is another plus.

Body lifts kits are an inexpensive way to gain additional tire clearance and lift on many vehicles that use a body on frame design. It's pretty simple. Spacers of 2-3? are installed between the body and the frame, which lifts the body up and gives the truck more clearance. The advantages are truck body lift kits have lower cost and no change in ride quality, as you are doing nothing to the suspension. The disadvantage for some people is the cosmetic change, as you see more of the frame when looking at the side of the vehicle. People will often pair both a truck lift kit and a body lift when they are looking for maximum tire clearance.

Lowered Coil Springs and Spindles. If you're looking for a simple and affordable way to change ride height with an aftermarket truck accessory, this could be your best bet. Simply install a shorter coil spring with corrected spindle. If you were to change just a single component, you would greatly diminish handling to the point highways speeds become impossible, and you would end up with wheel and tire alignment and wear.  So, when changing coil spring height, include some type of partner component to keep the proper geometry.

Coilovers. If you decide to go with a coilover, you will find these cool truck accessories consist of a single piece, made of a spring wrapped around a shock absorber. Originating on the race track, this type of suspension is said to offer better handling but its biggest advantage is in its adjustability. That feature has made them popular among custom truck enthusiasts who appreciate moving to a higher setting for off-road. Plan to pair coil-overs with the right suspension components, like corrected control arms.

Air Bags/Pneumatic spring. Sometimes referred to as airbags, these truck accessories were actually created to allow drivers to change spring rates and height adjustment on the go, using compressed air. Used a lot on tractor-trailers and buses, recent years have seen them enter the custom truck shows like SEMA and monster truck arena shows as well. As long as they are installed correctly, they generally offer exceptional stability.
