Truck Superchargers and diesel turbochargers deliver excellent horsepower and torque in a complete, street-legal kit that fits under your truck, jeep, or SUV’s factory hood. Edelbrock superchargers are one custom truck part that has an Eaton Gen VI 2300 TVS rotating assembly. Eaton’s assembly features a four lobe design for maximum flow, minimum temperature rise and a quiet operation for excellent horsepower incress.

supercharger assembles has been integrated into the intake manifold for a seamless design with minimal components.

Edelbrock’s inverted supercharger assembly is uniquely oriented by allowing for an incredible amount of intake runner length for maximizing low end torque. It has a shorter, less restrictive intake path for improved air flow. Keeping the air cool is a high capacity air to water intercooler and low temp heat exchanger.

The Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger system is not just a performance upgrade, it also has great style and looks to your ride! The supercharger assembly and matching aluminum coil covers some come in black powdered coated and others chrome for durability with highlighted Fins. These are great custom truck & jeep accessories for your vehicle!

The new trucks superchargers and turbochargers increases the power output of your truck, jeep or SUV's engine. These turbochargers add a tremendous amount of forced air induction and boost. They compress the air flowing into the engine for some crazy horsepower gains. The advantage of compressing the air is that it lets the engine squeeze more air into a cylinder, and more massive air means that more fuel can be added. Therefore, you get more power from each explosion in each cylinder. A turbocharged engine produces more power overall horsepower than the same engine without the charging. These custom truck parts can significantly improve the power-to-weight ratio of your truck, jeep or SUVs engine.

The First Performance Mods For Your Diesel Truck

You love your diesel truck, the look, the exhaust note, the power. You know the intricacies of driving it, what it feels like when you are cruising on a cool night, and how it pulls when you power up the trail. Your ears perk up and the sound of your diesel turbochargers spooling. You are a diesel truck owner.

Now that you know the ins and outs of your diesel truck, you are ready for some mods. You know you can get more power and better performance and you are ready to put in the work. With the thousands of performance add-ons available, you are probably wondering where to start. That's what we are here to help you with. There are three main areas to focus on when you start modifications, diesel intake, diesel exhaust and diesel tune.

Diesel Intake and Exhaust

Many of you reading this know the basics of how your engine makes power. To understand why intake and exhaust are so crucial, we need to explain what happens in those critical moments when air meets fuel inside your engine. While diesel fuel is injected into the cylinder, air is also brought in through the intake. The fuel and air mix and as the temperature rises the mixture ignites, combusting and producing power. The balance of fuel and air is coordinated by the injectors, the size of the intake and the computer. Power is limited by the amount of air allowed into the engine and restricted by how much exhaust can be vacated. When airflow is increased, so is power.

Upgrading your air filter and changing over to a cold air intake will allow more air to flow into your diesel turbos and diesel engine. Turbos thrive in cold air, as any owner has noticed on a cool night when power is plentiful. Not only do aftermarket diesel air filters do a better job of catching problematic debris, they also allow more air to flow. Increasing access to outside air and having less restriction are key. Several brands make high quality aftermarket diesel intake systems for the various makes and models of diesel trucks including AEM Induction, Airaid, Banks Power, BD Diesel, Bully Dog, Edelbrock, Edge Products, K&N Filters, RBP and Rugged Ridge.

On the other side, we find exhaust. For many years, diesel truck owners have been able to purchase bolt on exhaust systems to remove factory restrictions like baffles and resonators. Newer diesel trucks are equipped with emissions controls like catalytic converters, Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) and urea injection systems. It is illegal to remove these controls, and areas that require emissions look for them to be intact. It is still possible to upgrade your exhaust system on a newer diesel truck and see benefits though. Removing restrictions like unnecessary bends, extra resonators and upgrading to larger diameter tubing will increase airflow and efficiency. Brands like Banks Power, BD Diesel, Bully Dog, Drake Off Road, Dynomax, Flowmaster, Go Rhino, RBP, Rubicon Express, Rugged Ridge and Smittybilt offer aftermarket diesel exhaust systems using high quality materials.

Diesel Tuning

This is important. When you tune your diesel truck, you are influencing fuel, sensor readings and even engine timing. Using reputable equipment is a must; otherwise, you could cause serious damage to your diesel turbos and engine. You have the choice between an in-line diesel tuner, which is installed in-between the computer and engine and allows changes to be made to the information being exchanged by the sensors and ECM. You could also choose to use an integrated diesel tuner, which removes all software and replaces it with an entirely different tune.

Both options are available through different brands that offer various features. You can decide what matters most to you. For example, do you want to change the tune for enhanced towing and racing? Do you want to see engine data like exhaust gas temperatures and boost? Is maintaining factory warranty important? There are many options available in several price ranges from brands like Banks Power, Bully Dog, DiabloSport, Edelbrock, Edge Products, SCT Performance and Superchips. Some are even designed to work with specific diesel turbos, diesel intakes and exhaust systems.

The Performance Trifecta

When you install all of these diesel truck upgrades, you will notice a significant change in performance. If there is one area that you want to focus on you can tailor the parts you choose to meet those needs. It is important to consider what can happen if your diesel truck in still under factory warranty. Some dealerships take a firm stance against upholding a warranty when aftermarket parts have been installed. However, it is important to note that you have rights when modifying your diesel turbos and diesel truck. According to the FTC, "Simply using an aftermarket part does not void your warranty. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal for companies to void your warranty or deny coverage under the warranty simply because you used an aftermarket part. The manufacturer or dealer can, however, require consumers to use select parts if those parts are provided to consumers free of charge under the warranty."

Therefore, while care and consideration are needed, you have the right to upgrade your diesel truck and diesel turbos whether it is twenty years old or six months old. You can reap the benefits of more power, better fuel economy, improved towing capability and so much more. When you are ready to put the word "custom" right where it belongs, all over your diesel truck, we are here to help.
